Our Health Guarantee | Designer Aussiedoodles Canada

The breeder certifies that, upon transfer of ownership, the puppy is in good health and has received age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming as documented in the accompanying health record.

Warranty Coverage:

Designer Aussiedoodles Canada provides a 12-month limited health guarantee from the date of purchase against life-threatening, hereditary congenital defects. To qualify:

  • The condition must be hereditary and debilitating, significantly impairing the puppy’s quality of life beyond 12 months of age.

  • The buyer must provide a written diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian. All diagnostic veterinary costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

  • The breeder reserves the right to confirm the diagnosis through a veterinarian of their choice.

If the diagnosis is confirmed, the buyer may receive a replacement puppy of equal value from an available litter within 12 months. The original puppy must be surrendered to the breeder immediately following the confirmed diagnosis.

If the puppy dies within 12 months of the contract date due to a suspected congenital defect, a necropsy (autopsy) must be performed at the buyer’s expense by a licensed veterinarian. The report must be provided to the breeder, and the breeder’s veterinarian must agree with the findings. If a congenital defect is confirmed as the cause of death, the buyer will receive a replacement puppy of equal value. This warranty is void in the case of inconclusive or conflicting necropsy results.

Exclusions:

This health guarantee does not apply to, and Designer Aussiedoodles Canada is not responsible for, the following conditions or expenses:

  • Viral illnesses (e.g., parvovirus), bacterial infections, parasites including coccidia and giardia
  • Cosmetic conditions, including but not limited to:
    • Dewclaw removal
    • Cherry eye
    • Entropion or ectropion
    • Umbilical hernia
    • Undescended testicles
    • Improper bite, crooked or missing teeth

  •  Allergies of any kind
  • Luxating patella, loose knees or hips
  • Stenotic nares, elongated soft palate
  • Hypoglycemia
  • Anal gland issues
  • Skin issues, including dermatitis, demodectic mange
  • Ear infections
  • Ingestion of foreign objects, exposure to harmful chemicals, or injury
  • Any condition arising from negligence, abuse, or environmental factors
  • Addison’s disease – due to the unpredictable nature of this condition and the inability to pre-screen, it is expressly excluded from this warranty

Vaccination and Health Protocol:

The buyer agrees to follow standard veterinary care and ensure the puppy receives core vaccinations, including required booster shots at 12 and 16 weeks of age. Until vaccinations are complete, the buyer agrees to:

  • Avoid exposing the puppy to unvaccinated animals

  • Limit access to high-risk environments such as pet stores, daycares, training centers, or public areas where unknown dogs frequent

Insurance Requirement (Mandatory):

To remain eligible for this health guarantee, the buyer is required to maintain continuous pet insurance coverage for the puppy under their care, beginning no later than 24 hours after pickup.

Accepted providers include Trupanion or another pet insurance company pre-approved by the breeder.

If a claim is made under this health guarantee, the buyer must provide verifiable proof of uninterrupted pet insurance coverage for the puppy from the time of transfer to the time of claim. Failure to do so will render the health guarantee null and void.

General Care Commitment:

The buyer agrees to:

  • House the puppy in a clean, climate-controlled environment
  • Provide proper socialization, training, and regular grooming
  • Feed a high-quality, nutritious diet and provide clean, fresh water
  • Maintain routine veterinary care throughout the dog’s life

Final Disclaimer:

This guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original buyer. No refunds will be issued. By accepting the puppy, the buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms outlined above.
